    Greet & introduce our guests to the wonders of butterflies and their amazing life cycle. Presentation and ability to communicate with a broad audience are important. You will provide groups of visitors a 15-20 minute educational tour on the butterfly life cycle and other interesting facts. This is done in front of live displays to prompt you. Training is provided on-the-job. Palm cards OK. Times include Sundays and/or Wednesdays and Thursdays.

    Help maintain the Bribie Island Butterfly House, laboratory building and nursery areas. Work includes general maintenance on irrigation, hydroponics, electrical, some machinery, and keeping the water features operational. Some experience preferred in mechanical, irrigation, electrical or general maintenance. Good general handyperson taking pride in keeping the Butterfly House running smoothly. Training in Butterfly House maintenance work is provided.

    Help grow and maintain butterfly-attracting plants for sale at the Butterfly House, and host plants required for egg-laying, caterpillar food and nectar. Help with the hydroponic systems to grow caterpillar food. Potting, propagation, weeding, pruning and watering the established nursery areas. Maintain tidy facility. Training is provided.
