Attending to the needs of the general public who will visit Cancer Council Tasmania's Cancer Support Centre located in Launceston.
Are you a social butterfly, love to meet new people and be actively engaged in your community? This is a great role for those that would enjoy representing Guide Dogs Tasmania by being face to face with our amazing supporters at events. Various duties include providing information about our vital programs and services, accurately recording sales of merchandise, donations and donor details, cash handling, retail skills, and additional optional opportunities for pubic speaking and presenting.
This role is for those with an eye for detail who don’t mind getting their hands dirty. Duties include maintaining the appearance or our iconic collection dog donation tins, washing them with soapy water, replacing damaged stickers and security chain. Volunteers support the collection dog volunteer driver role by ensuring there is enough clean mini dog collection tins to be used on the following weeks scheduled collection run.

We are looking for someone with a great sense of humour, who is patient and kind and willing to assist a lady with a disability who is lonely, isolated and vulnerable to improve their life circumstances and help her to access the community. It would be perfect if this person also had experience with people with memory loss.
We are looking for a mate for Max*, Someone who is laid back with a great sense of humour but also confident. Max loves sports (Big Hawks fan), Max loves having a chat over a cuppa and playing games on his iPad. The working group is a membership of driven, connected and passionate individuals who will seek support for Cancer Council Tasmania's (CCT) Gala Balls in Devonport (22 June), Launceston (19th October) and Hobart (23rd November). Working Group Members are required in each region, seeking support from their own networks by actively inviting likeminded and generous individuals and groups to attend the gala and participate in exciting fundraising activities on the night.

At Raise we know that a mentor can change the course of a young person’s life, helping teenagers to build resilience and feel more hopeful for the future.
