Join Cancer Council Tasmania to put together a spectacular black tie gala dinner as we raise funds for cancer research and our continued investment into service provision across Tasmania! This year's theme is 'A night in Rio'.

Our Gala Balls are major CCT fundraisers held annually in Devonport, Launceston and Hobart. They are exciting evening events that are a great night for all involved, but do require quite a lot of organising prior to the actual night. Ever considered joining a team to likeminded individuals to get these events up and running?

Under the guidance of our Events Manager and Event Coordinator in their region, Working Group Members procure donations of prizes for silent and live auctions, raffles and activities, with the aim to provide a wide variety of prizes to suit many interests and encourage return support to local businesses. Members are encouraged to volunteer and assist in the event set-up and with tasks on the event evening where possible. The group will be connected via an online shared file system to track sales and donations, with contact via email, phone and Teams chats to keep all members updated.

The Working Group will meet virtually and/or in person 1-2 times prior to the event to facilitate collaboration and finalise sales and donations; this meeting/s isn’t mandated and will be arranged to suit availability of members, with alternative communications offered where possible.

Ticket and table sales by Working Group Members are incentivised with complimentary attendance opportunities for the member.
