Are you someone who enjoys connecting with others, and want to make a difference? We are seeking a compassionate individual to become a friend for Emma, an independent, artistic lady with intellectual disability. As a volunteer, your role would involve spending time together, engaging in activities Emma loves. Whether it's visiting museums, walks in the park or simply relaxing in each other’s company, your presence will make a significant difference in Emma's life.
We are looking for dependable volunteers to join our team and assist in operating the Op Shop Saturdays 9-2. We need enthusiastic individuals committed to delivering outstanding customer service, organising merchandise, and handling tasks such as stock unpacking, pricing, and preparing items for sale. Full training provided, looking for long-term volunteers who's like a weekly shift.

We need kind and compassionate local volunteers to visit residents living in aged care facilities. This is a wonderful opportunity to brighten someone's day and really make a positive difference. If you are a Volunteer that speaks English then this is a great volunteer role for you. English plus other language's, Italian, Polish, Macedonian, Serbian, Dutch is a bonus as we can match you up with residents from linguistically diverse backgrounds.
MDFA's Peer Support Groups provide a safe and welcoming space for people living with aged-related macular degeneration to share their stories and ask questions of their peers. The Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to lead a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable, not necessary.

Help at our monthly Repair Cafe by repairing small domestic appliances, saving them from landfill.
Assist the North Beach Lions Club with community-based projects on an 'ad hoc' basis. There is no requirement to join the club, however, new members are welcome and encouraged.
