    SteamRanger Heritage Railway has two volunteer cleaner positions, one for its railway station at Goolwa and the other for its railway station and a cottage at Victor Harbor. The role involves washing/vacuuming floors, dusting, cleaning windows and toilet facilities. The role is a developing one and the cleaning may be undertaken by one volunteer who would be welcome to travel by train between the two locations. Cleaning at Goolwa is approximately 1.5 hours per week, preferably on Wednesdays

    Hooded Plovers are small coastal shorebirds. Listed as vulnerable nationally, there are less than 800 of these birds in South Australia with only 22 breeding pairs found on the Fleurieu Peninsula. There are multiple ways that you can assist to protect these birds. Fleurieu Hoodie Helpers are needed to monitor a given pair of birds on a particular beach and report sightings of bird behaviour.

If you are a people person with a little bit of organisational flair, you can help your local community by keeping the wheels turning at a Meals on Wheels branch as the Assistant Volunteer Coordinator. An Assistant Volunteer Coordinator helps the Volunteer Coordinator where needed and steps in when the they are ill, unavailable or on holidays.

    The Nixon Skinner Conservation Park comprises of 8 hectares of native vegetation and is situated towards the southern end of the Myponga Reservoir. The park is an island of native vegetation in a picturesque setting, framed by the Myponga Reservoir and pine plantations. Working bees are held on the first Friday of each month commencing at 9.00 am.

Administration tasks will include tallying meal totals, updating route sheets and general Admin duties.
