Our Yankalilla branch is currently recruiting a volunteer to assist in the office on a Friday for approx 6 hours, from 10.30am. Part of the Friday hours can be done on a Saturday if prefer with the remaining 4 hours on a Thursday afternoon, but that is flexible and can be done over 2 days for 2 hours. The District Council of Yankalilla, provide reliable, efficient transport for the frail older people in our community who are without the support of family or friends able to transport them to medical appointments. The South Australian State Emergency Service (SASES) is a volunteer-based organisation that responds to a wide range of emergencies and rescues across the state. The Nixon Skinner Conservation Park comprises of 8 hectares of native vegetation and is situated towards the southern end of the Myponga Reservoir. The park is an island of native vegetation in a picturesque setting, framed by the Myponga Reservoir and pine plantations. Working bees are held on the first Friday of each month commencing at 9.00 am.
