Sacred Heart Mission is a local Melbourne charity focused on alleviating disadvantage, social exclusion, and homelessness. Volunteering in our redistribution centre will be critical in helping Sacred Heart Mission to increase our positive environmental impact.

The volunteer tutor provides educational support after school hours to secondary students enrolled in local schools in the City of Whittlesea. The Settlement team provide support to clients who have arrived to Australia in the past five years. This program supports the integration of settlement students into mainstream education systems. Whittlesea Community Connections is a Child Safe organisation and all volunteers are required to undergo a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.

The Urban Food Program is the practical application of skills in urban food production, community gardening and relationship building.
The Darebin TAC L2P Program assists disadvantaged young people under 21 years of age to engage in education, employment and the community by helping them gain the 120 hours of supervised driving experience needed to get their probationary licence.
The reception falls under the Community Support Program, assisting community members with personal and practical support for a range of issues including housing, family violence, financial assistance, advocacy etc. The aim of the reception is to maintain the connection with community, providing face to face information and referral to the Contact Centre.
The Youth Advocacy Group provides an overview of actions in support of young people residing in the City of Whittlesea. The group is youth-led and leads a range of topics pertaining to youth and advocates for issues to be addressed. This opportunity gives young people autonomy and leadership to voice and work towards the changes they’d like to see in their communities.
This Sewing Class assistant role will support individuals to gain sewing skills and assist the teacher to run the class smoothly. This volunteer position is supervised by Sewing Teacher/ Paras Christou: Coordinator Mernda Community House

Whittlesea Food Collective is a central point of donation and collection of food supplies for the community. The WFC Driver will be responsible in picking up and delivering food and supplies to community members in need.
Darebin Urban Growers are changing our local food system making it more local, equitable and fair for everyone. We use regenerative farming methods to grow food to share with people in the Darebin area experiencing food insecurity.
