Whittlesea Community Connections (WCC) is an independent, community-based organisation that works alongside the community to develop programs and services that respond to community needs.

The reception falls under the Community Support Program, assisting community members with personal and practical support for a range of issues including housing, family violence, financial assistance, advocacy etc. The aim of the reception is to maintain the connection with community, providing face to face information and referral to the Contact Centre.

This volunteer position is supervised by Office and Communications Coordinator and the key responsibilities are :

• Greet all community members who attend the office in person • Inform staff member of clients attending in person appointments • Direct member to call the Contact Centre for appointment bookings, messages, referrals etc. • Direct and assist visitor’s attending the office longer than 15 minutes to scan the Covid safe QR Code or sign the attendance register. • Provide administrative support to agency • Filing, photocopying and data entry where required • Assist with form filling
