The Captain is responsible for the overall operational leadership and management of the Brigade.

Brigades have varying “Crew Support” positions available. Holders of these positions are not required to perform active operational duties.
No specific experience is needed to be an outstanding EdConnect volunteer. From one-to-one or small group mentoring to literacy or numeracy support within a classroom; from volunteering in a school garden, the library or at the canteen to assisting with sports or other school-based activities, like Breakfast Club, you have the skills and life-experience that are highly valued by schools and which make a difference to students, each and every day.
Do you enjoy meeting people? Are you a good listener, proactive, self-managed, reliable, have a passion for volunteering and interest in covering a range of admin roles? If this is you, you could be part of our team that connects enquiring volunteers with volunteer roles in the community. Knowledge of of the community sector would be a great advantage but not essential. We can accommodate the required hours for Centrelink obligations.
Mentors provide a complementary service to teachers and other staff, addressing the needs of students who require help in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. School Mentors and Learning Support volunteers are required for primary and high schools within the City of Swan area.
Spectrum Space will run our Telethon Holidays Makers Program these July school holidays for children on the autism spectrum. Activities include art and craft, video games, sensory play, board games, cooking and more! We are in need of people to help out with the kids and the activities. This opportunity would best suit students studying psychology, community services, counselling and social work.
