Are you interested in becoming a member of our valued volunteer team, providing support to older residents in the community? AccessCare are currently seeking volunteer drivers to deliver meals within the City of Kingston. Shifts are available Monday to Friday each week if you would like something regular, or flexible fill in shifts if this suits you better. If you have a couple of hours per week to spare and you would like to have a chat, please contact us today for more information.
AccessCare’s Social Links service is currently recruiting dedicated volunteers. Many of AccessCare’s clients live alone and can be quite isolated, so this program is intended to help encourage social connections and mental wellbeing. As an invaluable part of this program, you will be paired with an AccessCare client with whom you share similar interests and will regularly spend time with that client doing an activity you both enjoy.

The clients who use this service are independent with most of their needs, and require minimal support to attend appointments. Ongoing training and support provided
‘I always find I get more out of it than what I give’ Our Client Care Volunteers visit clients and their families in their homes, providing companionship, support and assistance in practical matters. This may include taking someone to the shops, driving to the beach or sitting and chatting over a cuppa. You'll listen to people's life stories. By giving your time and being with your client and their carers, you'll be supporting them to live well and to die well.
