Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. The Meals Program Volunteer is required from 10.00am to 2pm every Thursday to work with staff and consumers to organise and prepare a communal lunch at the Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre. The volunteer will work autonomously and ideally have experience working in a commercial kitchen. Creativity is necessary in order to create a lunch menu using food items that are available in the foodbank during that week. Your work will offer comfort to those seeking asylum in this country.
