Are you looking for a productive yet rewarding way to fulfill your time during the week? Vinnies is looking for volunteers to assist in our community shed/warehouse to help with moving furniture, sorting donations or assisting with minor repair work to goods that need a little extra attention.
Volunteer Duty Officer to oversee all operations and needs of the GCH community garden that grows fruit, vegetables and propagates plants for sale. The GCH has a community garden that propagates, plants and grows a variety of garden plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers. The vegetables and herbs are used in our Community Kitchen or sold through our Op Shop, and the plants and flowers we seed and propagate are sold at low cost through our Community Plant Shop.
GCH is currently seeking a skilled guitarist who would be interested in volunteering as a Tutor offering 1 on 1 guitar lessons at the Gawler Community House.
The Gawler Community House relies on volunteers to develop and maintain its kitchen vegetable garden, fruit trees and Street Eats vegetable pots. The person we are looking for needs to have good knowledge of and a passion for growing vegetables and maintaining fruit trees. These are skilled volunteers who operate under the direction of the House Manager and Volunteer Coordinator.
Volunteer assistance required for planting, propagating seeds and plants, watering, feeding, weeding and other garden related duties as required. The GCH sells potted plants and seedlings. Assist in making worm tea fertiliser and growing worms. Production of compost.

If you love to cook and love to lead, you can help your local community by keeping the wheels turning at a Meals on Wheels branch as the Assistant Kitchen Coordinator. An Assistant Kitchen Coordinator assists the Kitchen Coordinator where required and steps in when the they are ill, unavailable or on holidays.
As part of the delivery team, you are on the “front line”, delivering our amazing meals out to our customers who need them. If you love a little chat, have a couple of hours in the middle of the day free and want to help out your local community, deliveries are for you! As we deliver in pairs, there are two role options, meaning you do not need to be able to drive or have use of a car to be able to deliver.
