We are currently looking for Greek speaking volunteers for aged care facilities in Clayton and Oakleigh. These residents are socially and culturally isolated and would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend. Regular contacts or visits have a positive impact in reducing social isolation and improving the well-being of the resident.
Want to do more in 2024? AccessCare’s Social Links service is currently recruiting dedicated volunteers. Many of AccessCare’s clients live alone and can be quite isolated, so this program is intended to help encourage social connections and mental wellbeing. As an invaluable part of this new program, you will be paired with an AccessCare client with whom you share similar interests and will regularly spend time with that client doing an activity you both enjoy.
