This volunteer opportunity will help to make the first and last contact points with the people we serve become meaningful moments that enhance their journey toward health and wholeness.

Join us at our Allied Health Day Therapy centres and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve!

As a Welcoming Host volunteer, you will help clients feel welcomed, safe, and supported as they enter and exit our centres. You'll be the friendly face they see upon arrival, answering any questions they may have and assisting with tasks such as arranging transportation if needed on departure. Additionally, you'll help with general inquiries and provide directions to visitors navigating our services.

Your role will also support our administrative staff, allowing them to focus on scheduling and other critical tasks. By providing this point of contact, you'll enable our staff to deliver high-quality care efficiently.

The people we serve visiting our Allied Health centres can feel unsure or anxious, especially when navigating our services for the first time. Your presence will help them feel confident and relaxed as they wait for their appointments, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.

Allied Health centres provide a mix of services including Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Dietetics, Speech Pathology, and Social Work services.  Each centre varies in age, size, location, and staffing while all foster a relaxed working dynamic full of fun and food together.  

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be visibly present in the reception area,
  • Welcome the people we serve on arrival,
  • Respond to general questions,
  • Offer/provide a cuppa tea/coffee
  • Simple administrative tasks, eg. Printing
  • Answer the phone and pass on messages
  • Assist with transport needs on departure
