Saturday 1st June 2024 A family-friendly, fun-filled morning requires no special skills, experience, or training – just your presence and enthusiasm. We are recruiting volunteers to visit with residents in Aged Care Centres to visit on a one-on-one basis to help prevent social isolation and feelings of loneliness. These visits make such a difference to the residents. It takes as little as 2 hours a month and is easy as having a cup of tea and a chat, a stroll around the centre with your resident or engaging in an activity such as a board game.
Miss having a yarn with your grandparents? Learn from those wiser, and volunteer to visit the young at heart and keep them connected to the communities they love. Befriend and spend quality time with a lonely senior in the local community. No doubt you’ll develop a soft spot for adorable seniors and be able to simultaneously brighten their day!

The Orangutan Project (TOP) is an international conservation organisation working with partners and running projects in Borneo and Sumatra to save orangutans from extinction, safeguard forests, and support local and indigenous communities. Our Fundraising Volunteers raise much-needed funds for our work through market and festival stalls, as well as fundraising events. Volunteers are needed to plan and organise stalls and events, assist with sales, and help with managing merchandise.
