Please express your interest as it really is most rewarding!

Case managers - oversee/coordinate care for a client(s) and their pet(s) who we are providing a service to. Working under supervision of our intake & case management coordinators. Required to check in weekly with the client and foster carer, attending to their needs. This may include coordinating a food drop, vet visit and volunteer transporters, sending photos to a client, or organising a visit with their animal in care. We also provide support letters and pet resumes or advocate and refer to other agencies. Would have to commit to attending a monthly case management meeting (in person or virtual) and ensure accurate and timely documentation is completed for each case.

Pet food packers - at the Marleston warehouse. Involves measuring out, bagging and labelling dry pet food. Flexible times, multiple positions available.

Team leaders for food packing days - lead a small group of volunteers doing the above and motivating your team. Capture photos for promotion and volunteer rewarding. Be involved in the bigger picture and goals of the Pet Food Bank.

Drivers - We are looking for volunteers that could dedicate a full day once a week. Delivering food to foster carers, out reach clients, community partners and occasionally picking up donations. You would be required to drive our van (high roof and long wheel base) and have a full licence. Physically able to lift large bags of pet food.

Warehouse assistants - various warehouse duties, potentially including data entry, stock rotation, fulfilling small orders, dating and sorting items and filling shelves. (enquire even if you are only interested in part of this role)

Cat carers - at Marleston warehouse. Includes cleaning catio areas, washing cat bowls, feeding, interaction/companionship for cats, cleaning & changing litter, occasionally administer medications. Looking to fill a weekly/fortnightly roster. Time required depends on how many cats are in care, but often no more than half an hour required.

Social media marketing - can you help us reach more people using social media? We'd love help with content creation, engagement, and a social media calendar. If not for the whole organisation, maybe just one of our programs.

Grant/campaign writing - we are always looking for people with experience in this area to help us access income/funding and ensure the ongoing viability of the organisation.

Paws & Pals - Homeless Support Program: a 100% volunteer run program, made up of volunteer vets, vet nurses, groomers and general volunteers. We run around 4 clinics per year at multiple locations across Adelaide and the Riverland. Since 2016, Paws & Pals have run around 50 pop up vet clinics and have provided preventative vet care and grooming to close to 950 pets. We are seeking:

Paw & Pals Coordinators - Seek donations and ensure we have enough stock at the warehouse for each clinic, coordinate the paw packs and other items to be given out on the day, coordinate volunteers, bbq etc, hairdressers or other community organisations to join us.

Paws & Pals Clinic Coordinators - Several volunteers needed. This is a committed role, you will need to be available for a couple of days in the two weeks prior to the clinic and then attend and coordinate on clinic day. The clinics are always held on a Sunday. A volunteer could take on one or more of each of the 5 areas that clinics are held. Clinics are run 4 times per year in each area. So at a minimum, a volunteer would commit to 4 times per year at one location. The areas are: Marleston, City, Smithfield, Port Adelaide, Noarlunga/Christies.

A phone would be provided to call clients and book them in on a run sheet, liaise with animal service coordinator on vaccine numbers and Paws and Pals coordinator on number of paw packs needed etc, create a Facebook event, coordinate transports, greet clients as they arrive and direct them to where they need to go.

Paws & Pals outreach workers - coordinate any follow up vet appointments identified at a clinic or any other asssistance we can provide.
