Vinnies aspires for an Australia transformed by compassion and built on justice- volunteers are vital to achieving this goal. All volunteer efforts, no matter how big or small, make a huge positive impact on the Western Australian community.  Your contributions as a volunteer directly or indirectly enable such valuable services as; home visitations that provide emergency relief assistance, recovery-focused mental health services, a range of services to prevent or alleviate homelessness, recreational programs for children and teens, financial counselling, migrant and refugee programs, distribution centre operations and retail shops, and advocating for a greater understanding of social justice issues.

Your experience as a Vinnies volunteer will always be varied and interesting, with the opportunity every shift to meet and engage with new people. Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

• Greet and provide friendly service and assistance to visitors to the Shop

• Assist in sorting, pricing and ticketing donated items.

• Create visual displays.

• Assist with general housekeeping.

• Operate Point of Sale.
