The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Rotary Club of Kew, Fair Trade & Gift Shop.

🛍️ The Role: We are looking for Goods Selection Hosts to join our dynamic team. As a Goods Selection Host, you will be responsible for sorting, categorising, and preparing donated items for our Fair Trade and Gift Shop. Your role will directly contribute to the circular economy by giving new life to gently used items and preventing them from ending up in landfills.

  🌟 What You'll Do:

 

• Carefully inspect and sort donated goods to determine their quality and condition.
• Categorise items into relevant groups such as clothing, accessories, home goods, and more.
• Collaborate with our team to ensure items meet our standards for resale.
• Help maintain a clean and organised sorting area.
• Provide assistance to customers and educate them about the importance of the circular economy.

🙌 What We're Looking For:

 

• Passion for sustainability, fair trade, and environmental issues.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude.
• Prior experience in sorting or retail is a plus, but not required
