The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Rotary Club of Kew, Fair Trade & Gift Shop.

Responsibilities:

 

• Welcome customers with a warm and friendly attitude, providing exceptional service and product knowledge.
• Engage customers in conversations about fair trade principles, the circular economy, and the positive impact of their purchases.
• Assist in visual merchandising, ensuring our products are displayed in an appealing and educational manner.
• Support inventory management, including restocking and maintaining product availability.
• Collaborate with the team to organise special events and workshops that highlight fair trade practices and sustainability.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming and informative shopping environment that reflects our values.

Qualifications:

 

• Enthusiasm for fair trade, sustainable practices, and the circular economy.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Friendly demeanour with a willingness to learn and engage with customers.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Prior retail experience is a plus but not required.
• Genuine passion for making a positive impact through your work.
