Friends of the Pound is an animal rescue organisation in the Tweed Shire. Our role is to rescue dogs and cats from the local pound and surrounding areas and re-home them through an adoption process. In addition we also take surrendered dogs and cats from the community for re-homing, giving all animals a second chance. We have been operational since 2000, our organisation is staffed by volunteers, we operate out of two adoption centers, we are a growing organisation.
