Habitat for Humanity Australia is currently the largest and most active organisation in the Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands areas mobilising volunteers to provide extensive, free, practical bushfire recovery & resilience assistance to disadvantaged members of the communities. No skills are required! Thanks to the support of our volunteers, partners and donors we have been able to support more Australian families recover from the Bushfires and now help them prepare for future bushfires.
Connect And Nurture is an in-home support program for new parents with children aged between 0 and 3. We are looking for generous volunteers who are willing to visit a family for up to 2 hours a week at their home. You may sit with with the mother, share a cup of tea and provide a non judgemental listening ear. You may also engage with their child(ren) and be the difference in a mother's life where they transition to having a child or multiple children.
