    We are looking for physically fit volunteers to join our team of track maintenance workers. Team meets at Goolwa at 8 am and are transported between Victor Harbor and Mt Barker to areas of track that need work. Heavy machinery does the heavy lifting however candidates should understand that the work is of a physical nature and is for a full day - 8 am to 4 pm. Volunteers need to provide own lunch/drinks.

The role involves washing/vacuuming floors, dusting, cleaning windows and toilet facilities. The role is a developing one and the cleaning may be undertaken by one volunteer who would be welcome to travel by train between the two locations. Cleaning at Goolwa is approximately 1.5 hours per week, preferably on Wednesdays

Listed as vulnerable nationally, there are less than 800 of these birds in South Australia with only 22 breeding pairs found on the Fleurieu Peninsula. There are multiple ways that you can assist to protect these birds. Fleurieu Hoodie Helpers are needed to monitor a given pair of birds on a particular beach and report sightings of bird behaviour.
