Flexible hours! Visiting program - 1 hour a fortnight minimum at a time that suits you. We are looking for friendly, compassionate and caring volunteers interested in enriching the lives of older people living in residential aged care or at home. Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. Being able to listen, show care and treat our guests with dignity and compassion is what we ask for.

We are looking for a volunteer, preferably a male, to spend some quality time with an elderly Greek man who lives in an Aged Care Facility in Doncaster East. Your visit may be spent reminiscing, having a talk and a laugh while having a cuppa or enjoying a leisurely activity like going for a short walk.
