Support people helping with activities other than going onto a fire ground. People with experience in administration, finance or looking for a hands on activities for example care and maintenance of vehicles & equipment and fundraising and social activities.
We have positions available for people who are interested in becoming a Volunteer Firefighter. There is no cost for the volunteer other than some of your time. Training is provided for all new Volunteers. If you are looking for something different to do, give back to your community, learn some new skills or you have existing skills you want to share, then this just might be for you! This is an incredible experience and you will love the satisfaction of keeping your community safe.
Our Cadet Program runs from April to October each year. It is open to kids between the age of 12 - 16. Cadets are trained in various facets of Firefighting and other skills. Teamwork and Communication are a big part of this program and we have had many of our Cadets stay on after turning 16 to become Active Volunteer Firefighters. Cadets may also have the opportunity to go on Camps run by the Brigade, DFES also give Cadets opportunities to go on camps.
We are looking for support members who may be interested in helping out with administration, fundraising, maintenance of vehicles, equipment and the surrounds of the fire station, cadets program or arranging social activities. You dont need to do all of this, get involved with what interests you.
Australind SES are a team of dedicated volunteers who respond to natural hazards such as storms, floods, cyclones, and earthquakes, and assist with land searches, vertical rescue and fire ground support. A haircut may seem small, but it can have a positive impact on a person's self-esteem and wellbeing. It could be the confidence boost someone needs to apply for accommodation or for a job. Bunbury Hospital has a volunteer run shop in the main reception. The shop is open from 8.00 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday . There is a committee of volunteers who run it solely by themselves with full support from hospital managers. The volunteers will organise the purchasing/stocking and sales of all stock. They will organise the banking and re-organisation of all funds. All funds collected are reinvested into hospital equipment, decisions made on this are also decided upon by the volunteers.
The Meet & Greet Team are the first people you meet when you enter the hospital. They are there to welcome patients, staff and visitors to the hospital and provide assistance as an escort and direction service.
