We need Delivery Assistants to ride along with our Truck drivers and help with loading and unloading heavy items in our trucks. Our trucks travel throughout Cairns and as far as Innisfail, Tully, Atherton, Ravenshoe, Mareeba delivering stock destined for our retail stores and or directly to people in need. The person will also assist in the warehouse as needed, re-stocking and preparing loads for transport.
We need your help to operate rag cutting machines at our warehouse. The person will play a vital role in giving a hand up to people in need by volunteering at our warehouse
We need people who will play a vital role in giving a hand up to people in need by volunteering at our warehouse to sort through items collected in our donation bins. All the items collected need to be checked for signs of damage before being prepared to distribute directly to people in need and to our retail stores.
The Community Liaison Officer provides a community contact for the community, engages their local community and provides local knowledge and expertise to the community Centre.
We need volunteers who can assist in a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained at a high standard. We need someone who can follow set instructions, and assist with a variety of day to day services that are routine in nature.
We need volunteers who can maintain the hygiene of the kitchen and also maintain kitchen stock. The person must follow COVID-19 Safety Procedures at all times and would be required to prepare morning or afternoon tea refreshments along with special event lunches and barbecues and serve as per COVID-19 safety requirements.

We need a volunteer cleaner to mop our floors, empty bins, clean door handles and glass areas with disinfectant. We would need the person for a minimum of 4 hours per week.

We need volunteers who can help set up tables and chairs pre & post activities. They will also need to clean and disinfect as per COVID-19 safety requirements. Minimum 1 hour and two times a week
Braking the Cycle is our volunteer driver mentor program designed to support learner drivers without access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours. Safety is paramount at PCYC and all young drivers are paired with a mentor post an assessment of their driving skills. The program aims to help the disadvantaged youth clock 100 hours of driving with a mentor. Fuel and insurance are covered and the car used for driving belongs to PCYC.

We require the services of Food Rescue Assistants to assist our driver in collecting surplus food from Rusty's Market on Sunday afternoons, which will then be delivered by our driver to local charities as vital, free food relief. You will get to see firsthand the amount of good food that goes to waste and play a role in reducing food waste, supporting vulnerable people within our community and creating a more sustainable food system
