The Tandem Bike Pilot volunteer role includes being the pilot rider on a tandem bike, providing Beyond Blindness members with the opportunity to undertake physical exercise in a safe and supportive environment, driving members to and from the venue using the Beyond Blindness buses, assisting with the set-up and pack-down of logistics (depending on volunteer availability), and exercising a duty of care towards the Beyond Blindness members.

A good level of physical fitness is required, with the volunteer ideally able to complete a few laps of the Victoria Park track.
