VMCH is currently welcoming volunteers to engage with aged care residents who have personalised activities which has been tailored to meet their individual interests, their cultural background, and their physical abilities; you would provide activities or sit with a resident to provide company and conversation to create a wonderful interlude which can enhance an aged care resident's day.

With Volunteers assistance, the lifestyle team can provide a wonderful selection of activities every day. We don’t need you to have experience we just want you to be an active part of our team with ideas and enthusiasm and engage with residents to provide fun and entertainment. Volunteers may like to prepare activities or assist us to offer activities, such as music, word games, crafts. Having a chat over a cuppa or reading aloud from a newspaper, assisting or sitting quietly with residents through chapel are some of the many things you could do.

You will create new special memories for yourself, for residents and residents families who benefit from your gift of time. Volunteering even a small amount of time, provides connection and companionship, which can have a major and direct impact on the lives of others.
