Our volunteer visitors are empathetic, kind and come from all walks of life; they find ways to connect and show genuine appreciation for the happiness of others. They play a vital role in the life of an older person through ongoing friendship.

We are seeking a talented volunteer visitor who would be happy to play the GUITAR or PIANO for some residents of an aged care home in Reservoir.

We have seen many wonderful friendships formed through:

• Sharing stories
• Helping with a hobby, interest or activity
• Exploring the local park or shopping centre together
• Listening to music
• Playing a board game

Making a new friend can change the life of an older person experiencing loneliness and isolation. It can improve physical, mental and emotional health.
