West Chatswood Library are seeking a volunteer to support and encourage adults from non English speaking background at their Saturday morning conversation class. Help learners to practise their English speaking skills by participating in group conversation topics.

Duties:

• Prepare weekly ice breaker activities and conversation topics with reference to available conversation topics activity book.
• Promote a supportive, welcoming environment, encouraging participants to contribute to activities and conversation.
• Collect feedback from participants.

Skills and experience:

• A supportive, personable, friendly and empathic demeanour
• Fluency in English
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Experience with adults from non- English speaking background (preferable)
• Teaching experience (preferable)
