Are you a Global Citizen passionate about the UN-SDGs and building sustainable, inclusive communities? Join Saroni Roy Foundation (SRf) as a volunteer for the “MAHATMA Peace Symposium 2024” and the launch of the “Period Equity” initiative.

This peace conference at the Parliament of NSW marks Mahatma Gandhi’s 155th Birth Anniversary and aims to raise awareness about Gandhi’s vision of sustainability, real development, non-violence, and social equity. Support the “Women, Peace & Security (WPS)” agenda and help address period poverty through our impactful campaigns.

"MAHATMA Peace Symposium 2024" Venue: Parliament of NSW

The symposium honours Mahatma Gandhi’s 155th Birth Anniversary and aims to promote his vision of sustainability, real development, and non-violence. Key highlights include a Global Peacebuilders Forum on “Women, Peace & Security,” addressing period poverty, and launching the "Period Equity" Campaign. The event features an "Art for Peace" segment by CALD artists and advocates for women's and girls' rights, promoting gender equity and menstrual health access. By fostering inclusive and peaceful societies, we aim to create sustainable and prosperous economies for all.

Volunteer Role Description:

Executive Assistant/Admin Support:

  • Manage executive’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
  • Conduct research and compile data for reports, presentations, and projects.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and written correspondence.
  • Draft and send out communications on behalf of the executive as needed.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special projects and initiatives.
  • Track project progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Maintain and organize files, records, and documents.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of organizational events, including fundraisers, conferences, and community outreach activities.
  • Manage event logistics and ensure all details are executed smoothly.

Requirements for Volunteers:
