Queensland Maritime Museum is a not-for-profit organisation, relying on grant funding and run solely by Volunteers. The Museum offers an array of historic maritime exhibits from Queensland and Australia. These include historic vessels, marine artefacts, exhibits and galleries and interactive displays both internally and externally across the Museum's South Bank grounds.

The Museum Maintenance Team play an important part in ensuring our exhibits, buildings and grounds are kept in pristine condition for our many visitors. The museum attracts more than 40,000 visitors per year including families, school groups, tour groups, interstate and international visitors.

To continue the important work of our maintenance team, we are looking for interested trades Volunteers who can volunteer at the Queensland Maritime Museum on Tuesdays or Thursdays (or both Tuesday and Thursday) in our Maintenance Team.

It would be great if your background has qualifications across Carpentry, Plumbing, Welding, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and General Handyman Skills.

If you also have a licence in Forklift | Scissor Lift? Terrific\, we can definitely use your expertise. However\, all skill levels and trade skills are welcome.
