Are you ready to be a positive role model for a young person?

About Cahoots: Cahoots is a not-for-profit organisation that takes young people living with disabilities out on camps, programs, and adventures! Our programs aim to bring our participants together in a group setting, and then doing fun activities throughout the day to encourage growth, independence, and friendship building! All programs are run by passionate Cahoots Facilitators and dedicated volunteers, with the aim to make sure that all Cahoots participants have the best experience possible. Whilst on program, all volunteers get access to all activities for free, and lunch is provided.

Role Overview: As a Camp Leader, you will have the honour of being a mentor, advocate, and friend to young people living with disabilities. Your primary role will be to ensure their safety and well-being, while also empowering them to make friends, build independence, learn new skills, and celebrate their unique identities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of these extraordinary individuals during their weekend.

About the Services: We run camps for children aged 5-12 years, teenagers aged 12-18 and camps for young adults aged 18+. We also run camps for participants with medium and high support needs, throughout the year. Our camps are in a group environment so that participants can connect with each other and build friendships. As a Camp Leader, you'll receive complimentary meals, transportation and access to all activities.

Training: Rest assured, you won't be on this journey alone. Our volunteer leaders receive support from professional support workers and facilitators throughout all our programs. Before you embark on this fulfilling role, our volunteer coordinator will provide you with comprehensive guidance and training.
