Through a network of support services and programs across Australia, we assist one person every 17 seconds, and your gift of volunteering this Red Shield Appeal will enable us to provide specialised care to meet specific needs. Together, we can ensure no one is left in need.

We’re looking for volunteers to step out in the local community to help us raise vital funds for our services. These funds will allow us to continue transforming the lives of vulnerable people across Australia.

Positions: Community Collections (static collection spots) Intersection collectors

Time commitment: May 13 - Jun 1, Between 9am - 5pm (2-3-hour shifts)

Considerations:

Chairs will be provided for community collection sites; Intersection collectors must be 16 years of age & over, having an adequate fitness level to stand and walk for 2–3-hour shifts.

We require passionate & friendly volunteers to help The Salvos raise much needed funds. Community fundraising at shopping centres involves receiving donations whilst positioned at one place, you may be required to use an Eftpos machine. Intersection collecting involves collecting donations from motorists at intersections, you must have some level of fitness as there is plenty of walking involved in a 2–3-hour shift. Volunteers gain a sense of fulfillment by contributing to make a positive impact on the community.
