Wesley Mission Queensland’s Hyland House Respite Centre is seeking Volunteer Visitors!

Situated at 3 Mundin Street in Petrie, Hyland House Respite Centre is for older persons and people with special needs in the Pine Rivers area. It is a wonderful place to connect, meet people, and make new friends. Our services include a centre-based day respite and a diverse range of programs and activities, social groups, and social outings.

We are currently looking for people who would like to give one to two hours a week or fortnight to spend one-on-one time with a designated client or clients at the respite centre, having conversations, reading, doing activities, and building friendships to combat loneliness.

Our Volunteer Visitors change lives.

Various times are available on weekdays between 8 am and 4 pm - one to two hours a week or fortnight.

Hyland House Respite Centre is a welcoming and rewarding place to volunteer, where you will meet many wonderful people from various backgrounds and learn new skills that may assist you personally and professionally.

Volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan, provide proof they have received two primary COVID-19 vaccinations before commencement, and do not provide personal care.
