Uniity has been operating for 5 years and recently expanded its social connections program into Goodwood and surrounding suburbs. We are looking for people who share our values of Kindness, Inclusion, Community and Integrity to join our growing team of volunteers who help people get to know each other and develop “family style” social connections.

Our volunteers, like our participants, benefit from having improved senses of well-being, belonging, and purpose.

Roles within the team will be developed together with volunteers, to accommodate availabilities, interests, and skills.

Talk with us about how you would like to be involved.

The opportunities are wide ranging including, though not limited to, one or more of the following tasks:

  • providing refreshments (with reimbursement) at our monthly creative activity,
  • attending multiple activities and getting to know our participants in order to provide conversation starters to help people connect,
  • creating social media and other digital media content for our activities and events,
  • supporting other volunteers and being able to step in or finding replacements as needed,
  • starting a new activity in line with Uniity’s values and principles
  • sourcing funding

Successful applicants are expected to:

  • have an interest in others, irrespective of age, culture or personal circumstance
  • have a valid Vulnerable person related employment clearance (less than 3 years old), or willingness to obtain this (Uniity can help with this)
  • provide contact details for 2 referees (who are not family members).

It is desirable that they:

  • live in the local area
  • attend a range of Uniity activities
  • champion Uniity within the local community and beyond
