Fundraising Coordinator

Scout Groups within Queensland

Responsibilities

  • • Work with the Committee and others to identify potential fundraising and information providing opportunities e.g. Bunnings sausage sizzles; school fetes; community events; and sporting events.
  • • Schedule fundraising events and coordinating fellow Volunteers to participate.
  • • Assisting scouting sections with their fund-raising activities when requested.
  • • Conduct community outreach to identify fundraising partners and sponsors and represent Kurilpa Scouts Group at meetings these community partners.
  • • Providing monthly Reports on activities to the Committee.
  • • Obtain professional quotes from providers of relevant goods and services required to ensure successful projects.
  • • Keep accurate records of all expenditure (e.g. receipts) for speedy reimbursement.

Skills

  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • • Strong organisational skills.
  • • Ability to co-ordinate the activities of other volunteers as their leader.
  • • Ability to work as part of a committee of like-minded people.
  • • You will be required to apply for a Blue Card for working with children.

Flexible Schedule: At all times you are in charge of allocating your own schedule and availability subject of course to deadlines you yourself establish in your program. Other adult volunteers are available to assist you as and when required.
