Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: McLaren Vale, South Australia

Position Type: Part-time, Permanent (2-3 hours per week)

Overview: Biodiversity McLaren Vale (BMV) is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the finance function of the organisation. The CFO plays an important role in managing financial operations, budgeting, reporting, and providing financial insights to support BMV's mission and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the finance function of BMV, including invoicing, banking, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and Business Activity Statement (BAS).

· Lead annual budgeting process and prepare monthly operational reporting for BMV.

· Prepare simple financial statements at year-end for BMV.

· Attend monthly COG meetings to provide financial updates and insights.

· Support BMV's governance with financial insights and recommendations.

· Manage banking access and oversee compliance with financial operational limits.

· Allocate approximately 2-3 hours per week to BMV CFO activities.

Qualifications:

· Experience in a financial management accounting role.

· Knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.

· Experience with financial software, preferably Xero.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
