BRIGHT Walk Course Volunteer
SA Health and Medical Research Institute [SAHMRI]
As a BRIGHT Walk volunteer, you’ll be part of the excitement of the night and play a vital part in making the event a success.
There are many volunteer roles needed including some leading up to the event, and we’ll tailor a role to suit you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting with handing out merchandise to walkers before the event at SAHMRI’s head office

Serving walkers at the registration and merchandise pick-up tent at the event

Looking after water and first aid stations around the course

Directing walkers on the route and helping them cross major roads safely

Supervising light installations along the course
REQUIREMENTS

Be available for a four-hour shift on Saturday 6 July 2024 between 1–9pm

Some volunteers will also be required to assist with merchandise pick up at SAHMRI in the week leading up to the event

A briefing session will be held prior to the BRIGHT Walk (5.30pm, Tuesday 2 July at SAHMRI), attendance isn’t mandatory but encouraged so that you feel prepared for the event

You must be respectful, energetic, punctual, reliable, and committed to ensuring a fun and safe event for everyone

We will provide any training you might need
