Manning Park Reserve Community Planting Volunteer - Saturday 13 July

Help enhance biodiversity, protect our coastline, and improve habitat values in the City of Cockburn.
Key Tasks
- Listening to and understanding the safety procedures outlined during the on-site induction
- Wearing appropriate PPE: preferably a long-sleeved shirt, must wear long pants and closed-in footwear, have a hat/ rain jacket when appropriate.
- Manual handling of seedling plant trays throughout the designated revegetation areas.
- Planting seedlings which includes: forming planting basins with a hand trowel, installing fertiliser tablets, and erecting tree guards (when appropriate) with rubber mallet.
- Transporting mulch throughout the revegetation site with wheelbarrow and buckets and installing around planted seedlings (when appropriate). *Assisting with plant pot & tray and tool collection post-planting.
