The Tax Help Champion is a friendly and tech savvy Champion who works one on one with the community to lodge their tax returns throughout the tax period.

The Tax Help Champion has a basic knowledge of computers and is able to navigate IT systems (eg mygov platform) .

Responsibilities include:

  • Registering as a Volunteer with the ATO Tax Help Program
  • Complete the online Tax Help Training Modules
  • Conduct in person appointments with clients to support them with lodging their tax returns through the mygov platform.
  • Register clients with mygov if they do not have an online account.
