Drought Angels is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist us at Groundwater Country Music Festival. As a Charity Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Drought Angel's charitable initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandise Stall: Assist in setting up the merchandise booth before the festival opens, ensuring that all items are properly displayed, organized, and priced. Familiarize yourself with the festival's merchandise, including hats, mugs, bags and any other items available for sale.

Sales: Greet festivalgoers, engage with potential customers, and actively promote merchandise. Use your enthusiasm to encourage sales and help attendees find the items they desire.

Cash Handling: Handle cash and process transactions accurately and efficiently using the provided cash register or payment processing system. Promote Giving: Encourage festivalgoers to donate generously by emphasizing the positive impact their contributions can have on Aussie Farmers impacted by natural disasters.

Accept Various Payment Methods: Accept cash, credit card donations, and mobile payment options, ensuring secure and accurate processing.

Thank Donors: Express gratitude to festival attendees for their generous donations and provide them with receipts or acknowledgment as needed.

Security and Loss Prevention: Help prevent theft or loss of merchandise by being vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity to festival security or organizers.

Shift Coordination: Arrive punctually for your assigned shifts and communicate any scheduling conflicts or issues to the event coordinator in advance.

Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow volunteers and festival staff to create a positive and cohesive work environment. Support each other in handling busy periods and unexpected challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable handling cash and using electronic payment systems. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Drought Angels mission.
  • Enthusiasm for charitable work and the festival's mission.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Enthusiasm and a friendly demeanor.
  • Dependability and a commitment to fulfilling your volunteer shifts.
