Job Description Summary

The Aged Care Program Assistant supports the Line Manager facilitating activities and providing companionship, as well as quality customer service to residents. Attention to maintaining a safe, hygienic, and healthy work environment is critical.

Key responsibilities **

Undertake activities that are appropriate to the participant and/or group. This may include (but not limited too): listening to music together, facilitating arts & crafts, attending a gardening activity, playing cards or board games, or simply having a chat over a cup of coffee.

Operate in a manner that promotes effective teamwork, good relationships with service providers, residents, and their families

Be prompt, courteous and respectful when interacting with residents, families, and colleagues

Assisting site Manager/Supervisor with other tasks as directed.

Awareness and update with information of the church and various activities

Exhibiting professional image of the service, always displaying professionalism and integrity.

Accurate information provided to customers.

Refer people to appropriate Salvation Army services. Follow up with Manager if unsure.

Listen carefully, and acknowledge and refer concerns, issues, or queries to Manager.

Experience in a similar role is desired
