Warrane Mornington Neighbourhood Centre and Warrane Community Garden are part of the Tasmanian Neighbourhood Houses Network, engaging and supporting our community as place-based using a community development approach. We support our communities to thrive by encouraging participation in diverse activities that seek to build self-belief, experience, and capacity. As trusted and valued community hubs we engage with community stakeholder agencies to support various service provision and referrals to essential services.

Our Board is a mix of Community representation and skills-based membership with a contemporary constitution and strong cooperative culture, meeting bi-monthly, with occasional special meeting commitments.

Warrane Mornington Neighbourhood Centre & Warrane Community Garden is seeking two board members with strong social conscience, community representation and/or valuable skills to support effective governance of the organisation. Successful candidates will assist in leading and developing the organisation and support management, staff, and volunteers in delivery of strategic priorities, as determined in a contemporary strategic plan working closely with an evolving community and skills-based board membership.

Desirable – skills we are seeking: o Community Sector experience o Governance experience o Strong local networks o Commercial experience o HR Experience
