Organisation description:

Goonawarra Neighbourhood House is a non-profit, community-controlled organisation that works with the local community to identify and address community needs. We run programs and services that improve the social, environmental and cultural infrastructure of our community. Our current programs include art and craft groups, playgroups, youth programs, cooking classes and a food relief service.

We are a welcoming and supporting House, believing that every individual has inherent worth, knowledge and skills.

Job description:

Volunteers are vitally important to the successful running of the Goonawarra Neighbourhood House programs. We value the contributions of our volunteers and aim to provide meaningful opportunities for our volunteers to share their unique skills and interests.

We currently have a range of volunteer opportunities available at Goonawarra Neighbourhood House, including:

  • Food Relief Volunteer
  • Playgroup Helper
  • Marketing & Promotions Volunteer
  • Admin Support Volunteer
  • Events & Fundraising Volunteer
  • Committee Member

Location:

  • 8 Gullane Drive, Sunbury, VIC 3429
  • Work from home: some of the roles has the flexibility such as Marketing & Promotions Volunteer and Committee Member.

Time and commitment required: We welcome volunteers and whatever time commitment you can offer, it can be as little as 1 hour/week.

Other requirements:

  • National Police Check;
  • Working with Children Check; and
  • Two referees.
