Volunteer Gardener

Clarence City Council

Got a green thumb? Want to make a difference in your community?

Clarence Community Volunteer Service is recruiting for gardening volunteers – we need people who can mow, whippersnip, weed, prune, and everything in between! Though many of us take gardening for granted, there are many people in the Clarence community who are older, frail, or have mobility issues, so having someone come around to do their garden is a huge help. Could you spare an hour or two a month to help an older person or person with a disability with their garden?

We provide all the equipment, so there’s no need to bring anything. We’re also happy to work around what suits you – you might only want to do lawnmowing, and are only free on a Saturday, or might have an interest in pruning, and want to volunteer on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Whatever suits, we’ll make it work!
