Aged Care Volunteer Visitor - Companionship for an older friend - FOOTSCRAY
MS Plus
Would you like to make a positive difference in someone's life, and your own? Do you have one hour, once a fortnight to extend the hand of friendship?
MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteers share stories, help with a hobby, interest or activity, share a cuppa and a chat, enjoy a walk, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
We have a lovely 92 year old lady at an Aged Care Home in Footscray who would benefit from the friendship of a female visitor. She would enjoy conversation and sharing her many interesting stories about her family and growing up in Footscray.
If you are looking for a volunteer role that brings mutual joy and is flexible - this is a role for you.
You need to be caring, reliable and be willing to commit to fortnightly connections for 6-12 months.
MS Plus believes in a person to person approach and aspire to match you with someone local with shared interests and hobbies. We look forward to hearing from you.
