The Customer Service and Administration Support Volunteer role is a vital in the work of the Supporter Care Team. The Supporter Care Team (SCT) manages all aspects of contact with supporters, primarily sponsors, regular givers and one-off donors.
The role specifically ensures all correspondence received is compliant with The Smith Family privacy and child protection responsibilities.
Being an Admin Support volunteer is a valuable and important role and ensures the Supporter Care team are providing TSF supporters, sponsors, donors and the general public with a high level of customer service.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure correspondence is compliant with TSF privacy and child protection responsibilities
- Accurate Data is verified and recorded into the TSF CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system
- Editing inappropriate correspondence as required
- Arranging the timely dispatch of mail
- Assisting in sorting and checking incoming mail against defined criteria
- General administration activities
Essential Competencies / Skills:
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to maintain effective relationships across a range of functional areas
- Proficient skills in current Microsoft Office packages
- An aptitude for multitasking
- A genuine can-do attitude
Essential Experience / Education:
- Experience in Data Entry
- Experience in a similar position in providing administrative assistance within a professional and confidential environment
Desirable Experience / Education:
- Awareness of the community services sector
- Awareness of education services sector
- Issues affecting disadvantaged people
