Hollywood Private Hospital Speech Pathology department is seeking a dedicated volunteer to join the team! In this enriching role, you'll support the Speech Pathologists in providing companionship and assisting patients in their communication journey. This role may be of particular interest to Speech Pathology Students. What you'll do:

• Assist with preparing therapy materials and organizing clinical supplies.
• Engage with patients in conversation practice, focusing on following directions, answering questions, and practicing social skills (under the supervision of a Speech Pathologist).
• Assist the Speech Pathologists with simple games and activities that target patients needs
• Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.

Who you are:

• Reliable and available for 3-4 hours a weeks for a minimum of 6 months.
• Patient, understanding, and possess a genuine interest in communication disorders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and encouraging attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Respectful of patient privacy and confidentiality.
