You will be coordinating an existing team of dedicated of wonderful Fishability volunteers, taking people with disabilities fishing once a week at various locations south of the river including: Point Walter Jetty, Bicton; Fremantle Sailing Club; Ammo Jetty, Coogee; and Val Street Jetty Rockingham You will have access to a Fishability van that is fully equipped with fishing gear and safety equipment. For fishing days you will be responsible for organising the volunteer roster and, with help of volunteers, setting up for fishing; completing a safety check list; greeting fishers and their support workers; assisting with fishing and pack down after the event. Please note that all fishers are accompanied by carers to attend to any personal requirements of the fishers allowing our volunteers to focus on providing any assistance with fishing.
