Volunteer Patient Support

The Volunteer Patient Support role provides support and assistance to patients and visitors attending our cancer centre in Adelaide. Typical tasks include providing information and practical help to patients and families such as directions around the centre or help with forms, offering refreshments, providing support and companionship to patients before and during treatment appointments, and assisting with general administrative tasks such as preparing information packs and patient resources. We are keen to match your skills and areas of interest with the volunteer tasks available.

All new volunteers will be provided with an orientation and training session, as well as ongoing support.

Our team

As a Patient Support Volunteer, you will brighten up the day of our patients and their families, when they attend our cancer centre. These volunteer positions are an important part of our friendly team which includes nurses, doctors, administration staff, pharmacists and clinical trials co-ordinators.
